This recent article on long term care residences provokes conversation on the plight of personal care workers and persons in care. Unifor is calling attention to the average time a personal support worker is allocated to prepare a resident for the day. They are asking the public to document and share attempts to complete their morning routine within the 6 minutes each personal support worker has to prepare one of their residences for the day. People deserve to be treated with dignity, it is impossible to ensure dignity is intact in 6 minutes.
